Abstract:   (11 Views)
Introduction:  Nursing professions are stressful and chaotic in nature, requiring nurses to provide care in environments with high patient density and limited resources. These difficult conditions lead to high levels of stress, affecting nurses' job satisfaction and resilience. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effectiveness of a cognitive coping training model for burnout on job satisfaction and resilience in nurses in 2024.
Materials & Methods: The present study was a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest design with a follow-up and a control group. The statistical population included all nurses working in government hospitals in Kermanshah in 2024. Using Cochran’s formula, 40 participants (20 couples) were selected through purposive sampling. Inclusion criteria were at least 15 years of work experience, high burnout scores, and low scores in job satisfaction, resilience, and psychological well-being. Participants were randomly assigned to intervention and control groups. Data were collected using Irfan’s Burnout Questionnaire, Ahmad’s Job Satisfaction Scale, and a resilience questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS version 26 and mixed analysis of variance (ANOVA).
Results: The results showed that there was a significant difference between the groups (intervention and control) in terms of total job satisfaction and resilience scores (P<0.001). Also, in the follow-up phase, it can be said that the cognitive coping training program with job burnout did not have a significant difference on job satisfaction and resilience and the effect was lasting (P>0.05).
Conclusion: Therefore, the results of the present study can be of interest to psychologists and counselors, and this program can be used to improve job satisfaction and resilience of nurses.
