Materials & Methods: This study investigated the detailed rate of breaks induced by iodine radionuclide at different intervals from the DNA center using the Geant4-DNA toolkit and based on the atomic geometric model. Findings: The mean number of breaks in DNA is shown as a function of distance from the center of the DNA axis to the position of Auger emission radionuclide decay. Discussions & Conclusions: The highest damage occurs by electrons with energies below 1 keV, especially in the proximity of DNA.
