Otherwise immediate surgical Treatment, survival rate of this disease is increasing dramatically. The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence and outcome of acute aortic dissection in female patients in Imam Ali heart hospital. Materials & methods: In this cross-sectional descriptive study, during the years 2001-2011 all female patients admission with acute coronary syndrome were evaluated and 62 female patients diagnosis of aortic dissection with acute aortic dissection evaluated through questionnaire and SPSS 16 soft ware and descriptive statistics were analyzed. Findings: In this cross- sectional study 62 female patients with aortic dissection have been studied, average out breaks in Kermanshah was 2.8% per 100000 people in year. The mean age was 65.8 years. 53% has history of Hypertension, 12.9% has smoking with Hypertension and 11.2% has history of diabetes with Hypertension. During admission 78% has sever chest pain, and trans thoracic echocardiography was done for diagnosis of all the patients, another diagnosis was done with TEE(trans esophageal echo) 31.1% CT scan 11.2% angiography 9.6% over all mortality rate of patients during hospitalization was 16.1%.
