All submitted manuscripts to the "Journal of Ilam University of Medical Sciences" (JIUMS) should followed ethical guidelines for medical researches as follow:
Informed Consent: For all clinical trials, an informed consent should be prepared from the subjects under study. This is indicated at the beginning of the method section in the published article.
Human and Animal Rights: When the research is conducted on human subjects, authors should specify that their research are in accordance with the ethical standards of their responsible committee on human researches and with the last update of Helsinki Declaration (Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals, accessible at http://www.icmje.org/ ). For animal experimentations, authors should indicate that their research is in accordance with the institutional and national guide for the care and use of laboratory animals.
Authors should disclose all financial and personal relationships that might bias their research. Also, all potential conflicts (if any) should be explicitly discerned in a cover letter.
Unsolicited manuscripts will be reviewed for publication if the following conditions would be met:
1. The manuscript should be an original work
2. The manuscript has not previously published or concurrently being under review elsewhere
3. The Submitted manuscript may not have plagiarism
4. Any plagiarism should be accordance with the COPE Guidelines (accessible at http://www.publicationethics.org.uk/ ).
Abstract presentations at scientific congresses or meetings are not considered as prior publication.
